DAY 1/ Bethlehem
The group meets with our representative in Tel Aviv and is transferred to a hotel in Bethlehem where they spend the night.
DAY 2/ Bethlehem - Beit Sahour - Beit Jala - Nablus
In Bethlehem, the group has breakfast before visiting the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus Christ. The group also visits the Milk Grotto Chapel and the Shepherds' Field in Beit Sahour, where the shepherds were believed to have seen the angels announcing the birth of Jesus. Next, Beit Jala, where they visit the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Then, the group heads to Nablus to visit the Church of St. Photinia Samaritan over Jacob's Well and the Greek Orthodox Mountain monastery. They return to the hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and spend the night.
DAY 3/ Jerusalem
After breakfast, the group visits the holy sites of Jerusalem, including Mount Zion, the Room of the Last Supper, Kidron Valley, the Golden Gate, and the Lion's Gate. They then take the Via Dolorosa, the path that Jesus is believed to have taken to his crucifixion, which begins at the Praetorium. The group visits the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos, the former house of Sts. Joachim and Anna, Christ's dungeon, and the Alexandrovsky Monastery. They also visit the personal chambers of the Romanov family in Jerusalem, the threshold of the Judgment Gate, the "needle's eye". Their final stop is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where they pay their respects to the holiest of holies. Afterward, they visit smaller monasteries before returning to the hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and the night.
DAY 4/ Border - Amman
Breakfast, transfer to the border with Jordan. Passing the border.
DAY 5/ Jerash - Amman
after breakfast, he group travels to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the world, and then to Amman, where they tour the city's main attractions, including the Citadel and the Roman Amphitheater. They spend the night in Amman and have dinner at the hotel.
DAY 6/ Mount Nebo - Madaba - Dead Sea
After breakfast, the group visits Mount Nebo, the pride of Jordan, a holy place, a stunning corner of the earth, which is captured in the Book of Books - the Bible, which is believed to be the place of death of the prophet Moses, and most importantly, the place where God showed him the Promised Land, and then heads to Madaba, the City of Mosaics. In Madaba, they visit the Church of St. George, where they see a mosaic map of the Holy Land from the 6th century (original dimensions 25 by 5 m.) depicting the territory from the Phoenician city of Tire (Lebanon) to the Nile Delta in Egypt (in the center - Jerusalem with planning at the time). They then proceed to the Dead Sea where they rest, have dinner and stay overnight.
DAY 7/ Petra - Wadi Rum
After breakfast, we will head to Petra. The city of Petra was inhabited since prehistoric times and was an important crossroads for trade routes between the Arabia peninsula, Egypt, and Syria. The city is half-built, half-carved into the rock and surrounded by mountains with winding canyons. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world and one of the existing seven wonders of the world. Here, Eastern architectural traditions are intertwined with Hellenistic ones. This is a must-see place that will definitely leave no one indifferent. Then we will travel to Wadi Rum, where we will spend the night in a tented camp and have dinner.
DAY 8/ Border - Bethlehem
After breakfast, we will be transferred to the border and cross the border to resume our program in Israel. dinner and overnight stay in Bethlehem.
DAY 9/ Jordan River - Tabgha - Capernaum
After breakfast, we will travel through the Jordan River Valley. We will visit the River Jordan, where you can take a dip in the sacred waters. We will also visit the Russian Spiritual Mission in Magdala, the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, and Capernaum. At Tabgha, you can stop at the shore for a swim and have lunch with Saint Peter's fish on the menu for $20. We will also visit the Greek Monastery of the Twelve Apostles in Capernaum before returning to the hotel in Bethlehem for dinner.
DAY 10/ Lydda - Tel Aviv - Jaffa - Airport
We will visit the Russian Spiritual Mission in honor of Saint Tavyfa with the Saint Apostle Peter's church (depending on the arrival time). Then, we will travel to Lydda to visit the Church of St. George the Victorious at the place of his burial and see a part of Saint George's chains (depending on the arrival time). Finally, we will head to Tel Aviv and Jaffa (depending on the flight time) before departing from Ben-Gurion Airport.
